ClassFlo
Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 September 2026
ClassFlo is a classroom app for weekly English reading lessons. A teacher runs a lesson from a console, a classroom screen shows it to the room, and each student follows on their own phone. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how to have it removed.
Students do not need an account. A student joins a lesson by typing the class code shown on the screen. No sign-up, no email address, no password.
What we collect
| What | Who | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and name | Teachers only | To create and sign in to a teacher account |
| Account identifier | Teachers only | To link a teacher to the lessons they have made |
| A first name or nickname, if typed | Students | So the teacher's console and the classroom screen can show who is in the room and who has answered. It is optional and may be left blank. |
| Lesson answers | Students | So the teacher can see the class's answers during the lesson |
| Photos chosen for an activity | Students and teachers | Some activities let someone choose a photo to show the class. Only a photo deliberately chosen for an activity is uploaded. |
What we do not collect
- No location.
- No contacts, calendar, messages or browsing history.
- No advertising identifiers, and no advertising of any kind.
- No third-party analytics or tracking software. The app contains no advertising or analytics components.
- No payment or financial information. The app sells nothing.
Where it goes
ClassFlo uses Google Firebase for sign-in, its database and file storage. Data travels over an encrypted connection and is held in Google's data centres. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising or any other commercial purpose.
Camera and photos
The app asks for the camera and photo library only when someone chooses a photo for an activity, such as showing a picture to the class. Permission may be refused, and the rest of the app works normally without it.
Children
ClassFlo is made for language classrooms and is intended for students aged 13 and over. Students use the app without an account, so we hold no registration details for them.
Deleting your data
A teacher can delete their account from inside the app, under Settings, then Account, then Delete account. It asks for the password and then removes the sign-in details and the teacher profile. Lessons, uploaded photos and class boards are removed on request, within 30 days. Full instructions are on the account deletion page.
A student's answers and typed name belong to the class board for that lesson. Ask the teacher running the class, or write to us at the address below, and we will remove them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
